let us approach the Lord with confidence.

that they bear witness to the Gospel,

B. For public servants,
that they exercise their authority for the common good,
let us pray to the Lord:
C. For all who have completed careers of service to humanity,
that they enjoy long and fruitful retirement,

D. For families, especially those suffering from division,
that they put mutual support above petty quarrels,
