A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for our Sunday Holy Mass celebration.
The Gospel message of this Fifth Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Year A, urges all of us, Christians, to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Salt helps food to be tasty, and thanks to light eye can see.
We pray in this Holy Mass that the Lord God bless us with His love and turn us with His power into instruments of His peace, compassion, mercy, and happiness in a world still in need of good deeds.
Please all rise for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Is 58:7-10
Works of charity deserve not only God’s blessing but also His healing power bestowed on those who care for their poor, the suffering and the less fortunate neighbors.
- Second Reading 1 Cor 2:1-5
The Christian message of love would be more effective when it is introduced to the world not with mere words but in concrete actions of sharing with others what we have received from God.
