A. Introduction
a) To the
Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and
Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint
Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of the 25th Sunday in the Ordinary
Time, Year C.
The Gospel message of
this Sunday tells us how to deal wisely with matters that yield decisive
consequences on our salvation the similar way we do with everyday activities
for survival.
It is important above
all to focus only on one problem, to aim only at one point, and to serve only
one master. We should choose to
faithfully love and worship the Lord God and Him alone. It is to Him that we owe our life both here
on earth and there in heaven.
Let us all stand and
sing the entrance hymn.
b) To the
Readings
- First
Reading Am 8:4-7
The Prophet Amos
brings God’s message with stern warning to those who abuse the poor and less
fortunate. God, the Defender of the
lowly, will not let those who committed crimes against the poor go without
being punished.
- Second
Reading 1 Tim 2:1-8
It is so encouraging
that Saint Paul teaches us the truth on God’s salvation plan for all
people. The proof for God’s immense
goodness was demonstrated by Our Lord Jesus Christ Who, as the lone Mediator
between God and humans, sacrificed His own life for us.
