A. Introduction
a) To the
Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday
Holy Mass celebration in the twenty-second week in the Ordinary Time, Year C.
The Gospel message for this Sunday tells us to show true
humility—it means to be humble from inside, from the heart, in dealing with
people, aware that God alone deserves all glory, praise and honor because He is
the Lord of heaven and earth, the Master of history, the Savior of humankind.
People love social status, wealth and fame too much that
they often dispute, fight and kill one another.
However, only when we are evaluated by God, can we be proud of who we
really are. Kindly all stand for the
entrance hymn.
b) To the
Readings
-
First Reading: Sir
3:17-18.20.28-29
People really love
those who know their own strengths and weaknesses because it is much easier to work
with those who are humble.
-
Second Reading: Heb
12:18-19, 22-24a
There will be good
harmony of peace, humility when people celebrate a big gathering in God's
Kingdom where Jesus appears as the Mediator between God and humanity.
