A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and
Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint
Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. As we celebrate the Eighteenth Sunday in
Ordinary Time, year C, the Message of God’s Word brings strong hope for Divine
Justice to those who suffer from many and different forms of injustices in
today’s society where greed for power and money has blinded people’s conscience.
We pray hard in this
Holy Mass for the grace of right understanding that human persons are called to
wisely use material things on earth as just means in order to achieve the
essential end of our life that is eternal happiness in God’s Kingdom.
Please all stand for
the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
-
First
Reading: Eccl 1:2; 2:21-23
For generations, the
Bible reminds us that all peoples and things are passing away, and that the
Lord God alone always stays in full power and authority as Creator of the
universe and Master of humanity history.
-
Second
Reading: Col 3:1-5.9-11
Those who were raised
through the Sacrament of Baptism to new life in Christ should live in
accordance with their dignity as bearers of God’s image.
