A. Introduction
a) To The Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good Morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration
of The Sunday Holy Mass.
Today, October 7, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most
Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This solemn Feast was ordered by Pope Pius V, as an act
of thanksgiving to God for saving the Christian Europe from being conquered by Muslim
armed forces during the battle of Lepanto in 1571. The deliverance was strongly believed as the
fruit of the Prayer of the Rosary in order to obtain the powerful intercession
of the Mother of God.
We also pray in this Holy Mass for God’s saving power from
all forms of evil. May the Mother of
Christ help us all.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To The Readings
-
First
Reading( Acts 1: 12-14)
The Blessed Virgin Mary was present in the early
Christian community worshipping God and awaiting Christ’s return in glory. For this biblical evidence, the Mother of
Christ has been the good example of Christian prayer in faith, hope and love.
-
Second
Reading (Gal 4:4-7)
It was God’s decision that in order to save a fallen humanity, Jesus
Christ, His Son was born as a human being.
