A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. As we celebrate the 21st Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Year B, today, we hear the solemn profession of faith by Saint Peter and his friends that they put all their trust in Christ, the Lord and Savior Who alone brings salvation to all humanity.
We pray in this Holy Mass for the strong confidence in making the disciples’ statement our own. This would greatly benefit us Christians in a time of crisis, in particular crisis of faith, hope and love.
Please all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Jos 24:1-2a, 15-17, 18b
The people of Israel vowed in a solemn religious ceremony to faithfully worship the Lord God alone Who saved them from the slavery to the Egyptians.
