a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. The message of God’s Word for this XIX Sunday assures us believers in Christ of this truth that Jesus, the Lord and Savior, always feeds us with food which comes down from heaven. These are His Body and Blood for our endless life in God’s Kingdom.
We pray hard in this Holy Mass for the gift of strong faith in order to believe in the real presence of Christ our Lord in the Holy Eucharist and eagerly receive this food with due reparation.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.
- First Reading 1 Kgs 19:4-8
The great Prophet Elijah in his distress was wanting to give up the fight against evildoers when the Lord God sent an angel to provide him with food and encourage him to continue his mission.
- Second Reading Eph 4:30-5:2
Saint Paul reminds Christians of their dignity as children of God Who wants them be imitators of His kindness, compassion and holiness.
