A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint
Dominic’s Parish Church for our Sunday Holy Mass celebration. This Sunday we celebrate the solemnity of the
Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
This most sacred
Sacrament reminds us of so great a love that God the Father has showed us
through the sacrifice of God the Son Who gave us His own life as food for
eternal life. Also it is by establishing
this celebration of the Eucharist or Holy Mass that Jesus Christ our Lord and
Savior has fulfilled His promise that He will stay with us to the end of age.
Let us offer this
Holy Mass with profound gratitude for God love, strong faith in the real
presence of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in the Sacrament of His Body and
Blood, and exceptional love of this most sacred Sacrament.
Please all stand for
the entrance hymn.
b) To The Readings
-
First Reading Ex
24:3-8
The great prophet
Moses took the blood of the bull of which one half was splashed on the altar
and the other half sprinkled on the people of Israel to establish the covenant
between God and His Chosen People. That
rite of the Old Testament was seen the preparation for the New Testament
covenant founded in the Blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
-
Second Reading Heb
9:11-15
Saint Paul teaches us
Christians the truth that the Blood of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior is the
most perfect sacrifice of the New Testament sin offering that washes away evil
consequences from our souls so as for us to be worthy worshippers of the
Almighty God.
