A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass
celebration. The topic of this Fifth Sunday of Easter can be found in the
Gospel Reading relating Christ’s teaching about His relationship with those who
believe in Him. Only by being united with Him
the way the branches are with the vine can
Christians live and bear fruit.
The Holy Mass always provides us such blessing when we listen to Christ’s
words and take His Body and Blood in order for us to become one with Him in
spirit and flesh. Please all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Acts 9:26-31
The reason why the early Christian Community was able to forgive Saul, the
notorious persecutor, and the crimes which he
committed against believers in Christ, and even accept him into the
Church, lies in the transforming power of the Lord Who through His Suffering, Death and
Resurrection, has pulled down the walls of hatred and division.
- Second Reading 1 Jn 3:18-24
Keeping God’s Commandments is the essential requirement for Christians to
remain in Him and for God to remain in them.
