A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy
Mass celebration.
Easter Sunday is the most solemn liturgical celebration of the Lord’s
Rising from the dead. The universal
Church rejoicing loudly sings “Halleluia!—Let us praise the Lord God!” with
happy and thankful hearts for the salvation brought by Christ, our Lord and
Savior, Who won the fight against the forces of evil and set the human race
free.
Please all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Acts
10:34a. 37-42
Saint Peter in behalf of the Christian Community joyfully and proudly
proclaims the Good News of Christ’s Resurrection as the starting point of the new humanity reborn
by water and the Holy Spirit when God’s promises of
freedom from sin and death to sinners have come true.
- Second Reading Col 3:1-4
Christians who have joined Christ in His Suffering and Death are now raised with Him to new life in glory. Therefore they owe their reason for being to
the Lord Who out of His great love for them laid down His own life.
