A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and
Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint
Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. This Sunday we celebrate the Epiphany of the
Lord, also popularly known as the Three Kings Sunday.
“Epiphany” in Greek
means the apparition or revelation of the Lord God to all peoples and
nations. Indeed, with the Coming of
Christ in human nature, we can now see, hear, and touch the Lord God Who was
from eternity unseen, unheard, and untouched.
In this Holy Mass, we
are invited, as the shepherds and the three wise men were, to approach the
new-born Baby, and thanks to the light of the star of our faith, recognize Him
as the Savior of the world, and worship Him as the loving and merciful God.
Please all stand for the
entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Is 60:1-6
The Prophet Isaiah
speaks of the great days when Jerusalem breaks into hymns of joy and shines up in
its most beautiful splendor. Peoples
from four corners of the world come to bring precious gifts and offer the Lord
God praises, thanksgiving and adoration.
- Second reading Eph 3:2-3a.5-6
Saint Paul in his Letter
to the Ephesians tells us about the great blessings which we Christians have
received from God through Christ Jesus, regardless of our life of origin in the
past.
