Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of our Sunday
Holy Mass on the Fourth Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Cycle B.
The topic of this Sunday Holy Mass comes from the report on how Christ
carried out His saving mission. He
preached the message of repentance, cured the sick, and drove out the forces of
evil.
The Church has been entrusted by the Lord the same saving mission and will continue this task until His Second Coming in glory.
Please all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading: Dt 18:15-20
A prophet who speaks in the name of the Lord God should be trustworthy when
he is appointed by God and what he says will come true. Severe measures will be taken against false
prophets for deceiving people.
- Second Reading: 1 Cor 7:32-35
Those who choose to serve the Lord should dedicate their life to praise and
glorify Him, whereas the ones who take responsibilities for the welfare of
their own families have to spend their time and energy caring for their loved
ones.
