A. Introduction
a) To The Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish
Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration on the XXXII Sunday in Ordinary
Time, Year A.
As the end of the 2017 liturgical
celebrations is drawing near, we are encouraged by the message of God’s word to
get ready for the encounter with the Lord Who will soon come back because He
promised so.
For a fruitful meeting with the Lord
to occur, we need to stay awake, holding shining lamps full of oil, and ready
to open the door whenever He arrives.
Let us pray fervently in this Holy
Mass for the gift of perseverance in our service of the Lord and of neighbor
while waiting for His Second Coming in glory.
Please all stand for the entrance
hymn.
b) To The Readings
-
First Reading: Wis 6:12-16
Wisdom is one of God’s great gifts to
the human race thanks to which people know how to act properly in accordance
with His Holy Will. Later on, the Bible
speaks of Wisdom as the symbol of the Second Divine Person of the Most Holy
Trinity.
-
Second Reading: 1 Thes
4:12-18
In order for Christians to avoid doubt
and confusion over those having passed away, Saint Paul clearly teaches the
truth that we believers in Christ will get through the very journey which He
Himself took from death of our earthly body to new life of our heavenly self in
the Holy Spirit.
