Introduction

To The Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the
Sunday Holy Mass celebration on the XXXI Sunday in Ordudnary Time, Year A.
The message of God’s Word for this Sunday could be
summarized in the statement by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, with regard
to how to deal with bad examples of shepherds who preach but do not practice:
“Do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their
example.”
We pray hard in this Holy Mass for the gift of mature
faith based on Christ alone and for more good shepherds who, like Christ, the
Good Shepherd, serve the People of God with so great a love that they lay down
their life for their sheep.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.

To The Readings
-
First Reading: Mal
1:14b-2:2b.8-10
The Lord God sternly warns those priests who do not
serve the Lord and His People with dedication and good example of severe
measures in order to prevent harms from happening to the sheep.
-
Second Reading: 1 Thes 2:
7b-9.13
Good shepherds not only preach the Gospel to God’s
People but also share with them their very life as convincing proofs of the
divine origin of the Church’s teaching authority, especially with regard to
matters of Faith and morals.
