A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of Sunday Holy Mass.
The
Lord, our God, our loving and caring Father in heaven, always guards and
protects us from danger and evil. We are taught, in our turn, to love our
neighbor as ourselves. The Commandment of love is, for this reason, the
very soul of Christianity, the religion of love founded by Christ, the visible
image of God, Who is love.
We
pray to our Father for the grace of conversion, so that we may become living
witnesses to God’s love among a humanity torn by hatred, violence and a culture
of death.
Please
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First
Reading Ex 22:20-26
Widows
and orphans are always the most unfortunate among the poor and the marginalized
in society. However, the Lord God Himself takes care of them as His first
priority.
- Second
Reading 1 Thes 5 c- 10
Christians
do know well how to live up to their vocation as those in profound gratitude to
the Lord God for saving them from the darkness of sin and death. They do so by treating one another with kind
and compassionate love while waiting for the second coming of Christ, their
Lord and Savior.
