A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for our Sunday Holy Mass observance.
As
we celebrate the 26th Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Year A, the
Word of God reminds us that it is both important, on the one hand, to listen to
what the Lord teaches and to put it in practice. On the other, we must be
consistent in what we say and in what we do.
We
pray to the Lord of love and mercy to bless us in our endeavor to become
authentic Christians, true believers in Christ Who Himself considers His food
doing the will of God the Father.
b) To the Readings
- First
Reading Ez 18:25-28
The
Prophet Ezekiel describes the Lord God as the just and fair Master Who deals
with humans in accordance with His law of great justice and boundless mercy.
- Second
Reading Phil 2:1-11
The
summit of the Christian Way of Life, according to Saint Paul, is to become
conformed to the image of Christ in the service of God and of neighbors, even
at the cost of suffering and death.
