A. Introduction
a) To the Holy
Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish
Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration.
As we celebrate the 15th Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Year
A, the Lord God calls us up to take part in the building of His Kingdom the way
farmers work on the fields. They plough the soil, remove grass and rock,
sow the seed and water it in order for it to grow and bear fruit. The more
hardworking we are, the better the harvest will be.
We pray to the Lord for missionaries
who are sowing the seed of the Gospel in different parts of the world.
May the Holy Spirit open people’s hearts that they readily receive Christ’s
Good News of salvation.
Please all stand for the entrance
hymn.
b) To
the Readings
- First
Reading Is 55:10-11
The Word of God that comes forth from
Divine Love and Mercy always brings blessings of truth and life to its
recipients the way rain and snow falling on earth make the soil fertile and the
harvest fruitful.
- Second
Reading Rom 8:18-23
It is really hard for Christians to
live up to God’s calling in order to be worthy of their dignity as His adopted
children. However, the reward for those faithful to Christ’s Gospel will
be so great that all forms of suffering in this world cannot be compared with
the glory in the world to come.
