A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of the Sixth Sunday of
Easter, Year A.
Through His Suffering,
Death, and Resurrection, Christ reconciled us sinners to God the Father.
The fruit of reconciliation by Christ has grown greater when we are brought to
the communion in the divine life if we are united with Christ by keeping His
Commandment of charity.
We pray in
this Holy Mass for the blessing of understanding the Gospel message and of being
able to put it into practice in our everyday life.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Acts 8:5-8.14-17
The power of
the Risen Lord enables believers who are just simple and ordinary people to do
great things beyond human understanding, such as the conversion of well-known
officials among the Gentiles.
- Second Reading 1 Pt 3:15-18
Being witnesses to what they believe,
Christians should be able to offer right and timely solutions to the questions
frequently asked by their contemporaries with regard to their faith and
hope.
