A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of Sunday
Holy Mass.
Today as we celebrate the Second Sunday of Easter, the message of the
Gospel reporting the story of Saint Thomas tells us to personalize our faith in
Christ’s Resurrection. We need the Church community to teach us the basic
catechism on God’s mysteries. We need our parents and friends to explain
to us how to put what we have learned about Christian Way of life into
practice. It is more important, however, to make what we believe our own
conviction so as for each and one of us to profess, as we do in reciting the
Creed, “I believe.”
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Acts 2:42-47
The Resurrection of the Lord has a tremendous impact on the lives of the
believers in Him Who conquered the evil consequences of sin. The first
Christian community lived a life no longer for themselves but for the Lord in
the breaking of bread, and for others when they shared with one another all
that they had.
- Second Reading 1 Pt 1:3-9
Saint Peter stresses the truth that our faith needs being tested and
purified through suffering and trials so as to become more shining in times of
darkness and confusion.
