A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers
in Christ,
Good morning! Happy
Easter to all!
We celebrate today with
great joy and deep gratitude the Resurrection of Christ, Our Lord and Savior.
Through His Suffering,
Death and Rising, Christ freed us from sin and eternal loss. We sing
thankful hymns for God’s compassionate and forgiving love in Christ Who so
loved us that He died for us in order that we can live.
The new life brought by
Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord, is now given to the four catechumens, candidates
for the three Sacraments of Christians initiation, namely, Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist.
We ardently pray for
-
Ms.
Teresa Nguyễn Thị Hồng Hà
-
Mr.
Francis Xavier Timothy Lacey
-
Mr.
Joseph Roderick Fulton Haire
-
Mr.
Joseph Kelvin Lim Ang Luck
so that they may remain
faithful to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior all the days of their lives.
Please all stand for the
entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading: Acts 10:34a.
37-43
Saint Peter’s sermon on the
resurrection of Christ the Lord expresses the main concern of the Church about
preaching the saving truth that Christ suffered, died and rose again so as to
break the chains of slavery to sins.
- Second Reading: Cl 3:1-4
Christians celebrate the
Lord’s Resurrection more completely and meaningfully by leaving their old and
sinful lives in the tomb and embracing the new way of life in communion with
Christ.
