A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass
celebration. As we celebrate the XXIV
Sunday in Ordinary Time today, the message of God’s Word brings us the Good
News of Divine Mercy.
It seems that there is always an endless competition between God’s
merciful love and man’s arrogant ingratitude.
Sinful man has tried to elude forgiving God, butHe never loses His
patience.
We pray hard in this Holy Mass for the blessing of conversion to the
Lord God at any moment in our life, so as to deserve Divine Mercy’s salvation.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
-
First Reading: Ex
32:7-11.13-14
The Lord God is holy and just, He never lets any sin, grave and light
alike, not be judged and punished accordingly.
However, the Holy Bible tells us, sinners, more stories about God’s
willingness to forgive and save than those about His anger and punishment.
-
Second Reading: 1
Tim 1:12-17
Saint Paul, citing
his own experience on how the Lord God was merciful to him regardless of his
past sinful life, strongly convinces us that Divine Mercy in the person of
Jesus Christ has prevailed over Divine Justice.
