A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for our Sunday Holy Mass celebration. Today, we celebrate the Thirteen Sunday in
the Ordinary Time, Year C.
The
Lord God has repeatedly called us to work for the building of the Kingdom of
God. Each and one of us has a mission
assigned by the Lord. We cannot
accomplish our duty as both individual and community unless we cling to the
Lord and ask Him for assistance, guidance and wisdom.
We
pray hard in this Holy Mass for all of us to become witnesses of God’s love and
mercy.
Kindly
all stand for the entrance hymn.

To the Readings
-
First Reading: 1 Kgs 19:16b. 19-21
The Lord God
tells Prophet Elijah to anoint Elisha as prophet to continue his mission of
proclaiming divine mercy for repentant sinners.
-
Second Reading: Gal 5:1. 13-18
Saint Paul
reminds Christians of the grace of adoption with which they are made children
of God. In thankfulness for this
merciful love, they have to fight the forces of darkness and remain a light for
the world with regard to equality, charity and unity.
