(May 15, 2016: The Holy Spirit Choir’s IV Patron Feast Day and Foundation Anniversary)
A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters
and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to
the Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. This Sunday we celebrate the Pentecost, or
the Descent of the Holy Spirit, which is also the Birthday of the Church
founded by Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
The coming
of the Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of Christ our Lord’s promises that He
would send the powerful Advocate to teach us the full truth about God’s
merciful love.
Today we
also celebrate the Fourth Anniversary of the establishment of the English Holy
Mass in this Parish Church of Saint Dominic, also popularly known as the Three
Bells Church. We thank God for many
blessings and good gifts which we have received in the past three years and we
pray for more in the years to come.
Kindly all
stand for the entrance hymn.

To the Readings
-
First Reading: Acts 2: 1-11
The Holy
Spirit came upon the early Christians in the form of tongues of fire which
could be understood as burning love given to those who believe and who, as the
result of their personal experience on God’s great and merciful love, could not
help but burst into praises and thanksgiving.
-
Second Reading: 1 Cor
12:3b-7.12-13
As the
principle of unity for the Christian Community, the Holy Spirit gathers into
God’s family all scattered children no matter who they may be.
