A. Introduction:
a) To the Holy Mass:
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration.
As we
listen to this Sunday Gospel we can learn the very important teaching by our
Lord and Savior on our identity as Christians, His disciples. People recognize us as such when they see how
much we love one another after the Lord’s New Commandment.
We pray
hard to God Who is love in this Holy Mass for the gift of true Christian love,
or charity, not only for those who love us but also for those who cause us pain
and injustice.
Today we
pray in particular for baby Peter Lã Bình Khanh who is to be baptized in the
Catholic Church. We thank the Lord for
the gift of new life in Christ given to Peter.
We pray for his proud mommy Mary Mai Quỳnh and Daddy Peter Quang Bình,
who both are members of the Holy Spirit Choir, so that they may fulfill their
responsible parenthood as Christian mother and father.
Kindly all
stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings:
- First Reading: Acts 14:21-27
With the strength of the
Risen Lord and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the preaching of the Good News
of salvation by the apostles was so successful that the number of believers never
ceased growing up.
- Second Reading: Rv 21:1-5a
By the saving power of
our Lord and Savior, there will be a new heaven and a new earth for those
justified by the Blood of the Lamb, for the old ones are not suitable for
Christians who have become new creation in the Risen Lord.
