Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of the Sunday Holy
Mass. We celebrate the First Sunday of
Lent today with the main focus on how to get ready and worthy for the solemn
celebration of Easter Sunday.
This
Sunday’s Gospel story relates the Lord’s victory over the temptations by the
devil. We, too, are encouraged to fight
evil ambitions for power and wealth in order to remain faithful to our service
of God above all things and all people.
We
pray for our sisters and brothers candidates for the official reception into
the Catholic Church in order for them to be well prepared for their receiving
on Easter Sunday the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation, namely: Baptism,
Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
Kindly
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
