Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration.
Today
we join the universal Church in prayer, praise and thanksgiving offered to the
Lord God for His great love to all of us, His children.
This
Sunday’s Gospel urges us to be determined in keeping God’s commandments and
living up to our Christian values. By so
doing we should be courageous enough to detach ourselves from even someone or
something very close to our heart.
We
pray in this Holy Mass for the blessing of being faithful and persevering to
our faith in God, our loving and caring Father.
Please
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Nm 11:25-29
We are
taught to be open-minded and ready to collaborate with others in our service of
God so as to avoid all forms of monopoly in religious matters.
-
Second Reading Jas 5:1-6
Saint James
strongly condemns those who greedily amass the resources for living designated
by God for all people to the detriment of the less fortunate.
