Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. Today, we celebrate the 17th
Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Year B.
The
message of the Lord God to us is this: God the Father Almighty, out of His love
for us, always cares for us, His People, by feeding us with both food for our
life on earth and blessing for our life in heaven.
In
this hoy Mass we are invited to approach the Table of the Word and of the
Eucharist—the Body and Blood of Christ—to receive the very Source of Life that
lasts for ever.
Kindly
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading 2 Kgs 4:42-44
With only twenty
barley loaves Elisha the Prophet fed hundred of people just because he put his
trust in what the Lord God told him.
-
Second Reading Eph 4:1-6
Unity of
Christians was one of Saint Paul’s main concerns simply because unity gives
visible sign of the one faith in the one God of those united in one Body of
Christ, the Church.
