Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration in the 15th
Week in the Ordinary Time, Cycle B.
The Gospel
story tells us how Christ sent the twelve disciples two by two to mission. They went to preach the Good News of
salvation relying only on God’s love and care.
This should also be the way we are sent to bear witness to our faith in
Christ Who, all-powerful though, came to us as a simple human person, in order
to bring us God’s priceless gift of eternal life.
Please all
stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Am 7:12-15
The sharp
difference between an authentic prophet and a false one lies in the fact that
the former is sent by God and detached from earthly ambitions, while the latter
is not at all.
-
Second Reading Eph 1:3-10
We are
chosen by God in Christ to be recipients of all kinds of blessing. For this reason, this is our great honor and
endless joy to thank and praise God the Father forever.
