Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass celebration. As we celebrate the 12th Sunday in
Ordinary Time today, we listen to the Lord God telling us the truth that He is
the Master of the universe and the Owner of the creation which He made out of
His great love. For this reason, all
things in heaven and on earth, even strong wind and violent sea, obey Him Who
is their Maker.
We
pray in this Holy Mass, in particular when saying the “Our Father”, for the
blessing of loving obedience to God our Father in heaven, after the example of
Christ, in all that we think of, say and do.
Please
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading: Job 38:1.8-11
Job, the
holy man having been tested in many ways, even through suffering, injustice and
misfortune, realized that the Lord God was always the supreme authority to have
the last say, simply because He is the Lord of all.
-
Second Reading: 2 Cor 5:14-17
For
Christians, Christ is Lord and Savior because He by laying down His life for
the human race has made them a new creation worthy of being adopted children of
God the Alminty Father.
