Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of Sunday Holy Mass. This Sunday we honor in the highest place the
real presence of Christ, our Lord, our God and our Savior, in the Blessed
Sacrament. This Sacrament of the Body
and Blood of Christ is one of the best ways which Christ did to fulfill His
promise that He would be with us every moment of our life here on earth until
He comes again.
We
gather to listen to Him speak through the proclamation of His Word, and receive
Him present in the Bread of Life and the Cup of salvation.
Today
we witness the Rite of Christian Marriage which unites our friends Mary Nguyễn
Kim Ngân and Dominic Nguyễn Minh Trí in a loving and faithful covenant
reflecting the unending love of Christ and His Church.
Please
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Ex 24:3-8
In the Old
Testament, animal’s blood was sprinkled on the altar and the people to perform
the signing of the covenant between God and His people. That was the preparation for the most perfect
Covenant of the New Testament signed in the Blood of Christ, the Lamb of God.
-
Second Reading Heb 9:11-15
The
sacrifice of Christ Who is the High Priest, the Offering and the Altar,
produces much more powerful effects in cleansing humanity from sin and giving
them new life that never ends.
