Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the Sunday Holy Mass observance. Today we celebrate the Second Sunday of
Easter.
The
Gospel story tells us how Saint Thomas the Apostle went through a hard
conversion process to reach the true faith in Christ Jesus as the Lord and God.
We
also celebrate the Divine Mercy this Sunday with grateful hearts for the great
love which God the Father has showed us in Christ Jesus, His Son: “God so loved
the world that He gave His Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might
not perish, but might have eternal life.”
Please
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Acts 4:32-35
Moved by the
Spirit of the Risen Lord, the first Christians overcame worldly ambitions to
live up to so perfect a community life that “there was no needy person among
them.”
-
Second Reading 1 Jn 5:1-6
The mutual
love of Christians are built on and animated by the love of God and obedience
to His Commandments.
