Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
A
blessed Christmas to all!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of Holy Mass on Christmas
Day.
The
four weeks long preparation of Advent Season culminates today with the solemn
and joyful Holy Mass in honor of the Birth of Christ, the Son of God, born in
our human nature.
The
Coming of Christ has fulfilled God’s promises of salvation. By Christ sinners are now reconciled to
God. Heaven and earth join in songs of
praise and thanksgiving for the victory of Divine Mercy on Divine Justice. Forever will the Prince of peace reign over
the world and His Kingdom of love have no end.
Let
us all raise our voices from grateful hearts to sing the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Is 52:7-10
Nothing can
be compared with the joy of being freed from imprisonment, healed from
sickness, and saved from death. The Lord
has finally come to bring good news of freedom and salvation to all peoples who
have been victims of all forms of evil.
-
Second Reading Heb 1:1-6
After ages
of patiently forming a humanity worthy of divine deliverance from the sin and
death, God sent His Son into the world to realize the long awaited salvation plan.
