Dear Fr. Francis,
Hope you and the Holy Spirit Choir had a blest Christmas yesterday. Sorry I could not attend the 10:30 am Mass. I joined some friars from the Dakao community to spend the morning at a Franciscan charity house, for handicapped men. There was a special mass and luncheon/open house for about 70 people. I had never visited this ministry of the friars before and it was good for me to be there.
When I stopped by to say hello last Sunday, I mentioned that there would be a Taize Prayer Service, on New Year’s Night, at Dakao Franciscan Church.
The night has chanting of Taize songs in Vietnamese, English, and Latin, some readings and reflections in Vietnamese, and periods of silent reflection.
If any of the Holy Spirit Choir members have never been to a Taize prayer service before, you might wish to encourage them to go together next Wednesday night.
