Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the worship of God the Father, through the
sacrifice of Christ Jesus, in the union of the Holy Spirit.
This Sunday
is the last of the Liturgical Year 2014 which sums up the Church’s activities
in the solemn confession of Christ’s kingship over the universe. Christ is King not only of power and glory,
but also of love and peace.
We pray hard
in this Holy Mass for the grace of obedience to Christ’s New Command so as to
deserve His saving love.
Please all
stand for the entrance hymn.

To the Readings
-
First Reading Ez 34:11-12.15-17
The Old
Testament Tradition depicts the Lord God as the Shepherd-King Who tends His
People with exceptional love and care.
Christ not only plays this role in a perfect fashion when speaking of
Himself as the Good Shepherd but also lifts it up to its highest level by
laying down His own life for His sheep to be saved.
-
Second Reading 1 Cor 15:20-26.28
The
Resurrection of Christ, the Head of the Church, considered as His Mystical
Body, brings to all Christians who belong to Him the sure hope for the new and
eternal life. Christ is indeed the
ever-living King of believers who having suffered and died with Him go with Him
to eternal life.
