Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters
and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of Sunday Holy Mass.
The Lord,
our God, our loving and caring Father in heaven, always guards and protects us
from danger and evil. We are taught, in
our turn, to love our neighbor as ourselves.
The Commandment of love is, for this reason, the very soul of
Christianity, the religion of love founded by Christ, the visible image of God,
Who is love.
We pray to
our Father for the grace of conversion, so that we may become living witnesses
to God’s love among a humanity torn by hatred, violence and a culture of death.
Please all
stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Ex 22:20-26
Widows and
orphans are always the most unfortunate among the poor and the marginalized in
society. However, the Lord God Himself
takes care of them as His first priority.
-
Second Reading 1 Thes 5 c- 10
Christians
do know well how to live up to their vacation as those in profound gratitude to
the Lord God for saving them from the darkness of sin and death by treating one
another with kind and compassionate love while waiting for the second coming of
Christ, their Lord and Savior.
