Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear Sister
and brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to
Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for our Sunday Holy Mass celebration.
On this 18th Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Year A,
we are to praise and thank the Lord God for His great love showed in all that
He has done for us in both the creation of the world and the salvation of
humankind.
We can see in the person of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior,
the loving and compassionate heart of Our God and Creator.
Let us offer with a grateful heart music and hymns to glorify
the heavenly Father Who so loved us that He gave us His Only Son so that we may
have full and eternal life.
Please all stand for the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Is 55:1-3:
The Lord God always cares for not only spiritual necessity of
His people but also their everyday material needs. Whoever listens to the voice of God and
observes it carefully will have everything that they permanently thirst for in
the present life and in the life to come.
-
Second Reading Rm 8:35.37-39
For those who have found deep and intimate relationship with
Christ the Lord and Savior, the love of the Master suffering and dying in order
that they may live is forever so burning and urging that nobody and nothing can
stand in the way of their communion with Him.
