Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters
and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord. After having accomplished His work of
salvation for the human race, Christ went up to heaven and was seated at the
right hand of God the Father.
However, Christ did not leave us orphans but He sent the Holy
Spirit to help us understand and keep His Commandment of love. By so doing, we are preparing ourselves and
the world in which we live for His Coming in glory.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.

To the Readings
-
First Reading Acts 1:1-11
The story of the Lord’s going up to heaven reveals two
details of heartwarming truth: one, Christ will come back; two, while waiting
for His Return, His believers have to tell others about the Good News of God’s
love and mercy.
-
Second Reading Eph 1:17-23
All that happened to Christ since His Suffering, Death, and
Resurrection has formed in the heart of every and each believer so strong a
hope for ever happy life granted to those assisted by the Spirit of the Risen
Lord.
