Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters
and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration
of Sunday Holy Mass. Today is the Fourth
Sunday of Easter. Because the Gospel of
this Sunday tells us that Christ introduces Himself as the Good Shepherd, this
celebration is popularly termed “Good Shepherd Sunday”.
We pray to the Good Shepherd to send leaders of the Church
who serve the People of God with a compassionate heart and caring and healing
hands after the model of Christ, the Good Shepherd.
As we also celebrate “Mother’s Day” today, we pray for
mothers to enjoy healthy and happy life in families and in society, too.
Kindly all stand for the entrance hymn.

To the Readings
-
First Reading Acts 2:14 a. 36-47
The impact of the Resurrection of the Lord was so powerful
that the preaching of this great event by the Apostles moved and enabled a
large numbers of listeners to conversion, this means, a big change of their way
of life and a decisive return to God.
-
Second Reading 1 Pt 2: 20b-25
The suffering and death of Christ left a good example to
Christians who are persecuted, falsely accused because of their faith in the
Lord. Those who serve God should not
expect to please the world. When the
disciples suffer because of good deeds, they should be proud for their Master
also suffered in the hands of evildoers.
