A. Introduction
a)
To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and
Brothers,
Good morning!
Welcome to Saint
Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of our Sunday Holy Mass. We get the message of the Lord God on this
Third Sunday of Lent which brings us the so comforting truth that God never
ceases to call sinners to go back to His merciful forgiveness and saving
love. God gift of salvation comes to us
sometimes through people whom we do not know who they are, but who have met the
Lord, put their trust in Him, and been transformed. Now it is our turn to make this saving blessing
our own, and be willing to share it with others.
Please all stand to
join in the singing of the entrance hymn.
b)
To the Readings
-
First Reading Ex 17:3-7
The people of Israel
on their way to the Promised Land committed the sin of ingratitude. Instead of thanking Him for the liberation
from slavery in Egypt, they kept complaining that the Lord God took them to the
desert just to kill them there by starvation. Despite their sin, God provided
them with food and drink in order for them to reach the appointed destination.
-
Second Reading Rom 5:1-2.5-8
Can we have any good
reason to doubt that the Lord God disregarding our wrongdoings so loved us that
He saved our lives through the sacrifice of His Beloved Son? Saint Paul invites us to serious thoughts on
why Christ willingly died for us sinners.
