A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
As
we celebrate this Sunday the fourth week of Lent, we have made more than
halfway of the Lenten Season observances and are approaching the climax of our
Christian Liturgy: the most solemn celebration of the Lord’s Rising from death
on Easter Sunday.
We
pray hard in this Holy Mass for the grace of healing from all forms of
blindness so as to see the right way leading to Christ Jesus, the Light of the
world and the Savior of humankind.
Please
all stand and join in the singing of the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
-
First Reading 1 Sm
16:1b.6-7.10-13a:
The
First Book of the Prophet Samuel tells us about the reality that we human
beings are so biased that we become blind in judging people and things. God’s judgment remains always right and just
because “man sees the appearance, but the Lord looks into the heart.”
-
Second Reading Eph 5:8-14:
Saint
Paul admonishes Christians to live “as children of light”, fighting the works
of darkness and producing fruits of goodness.
