A. Introduction to the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Good
morning!
Welcome
to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for the celebration of the Holy Mass on the 32nd
Sunday in the Ordinary Time, Cycle C.
As
we are approaching the Liturgical yearend, the Message of God’s Word reminds us
of how to make this life on earth meaningful and worthy in preparation for the
life in heaven. To keep us in tune with
that truth it is wise to know which life is more essential, thus to make a
right decision.
In
this Holy Mass we pray to the Lord God for the gift of divine wisdom and right
judgment so that we may fulfill our call to being attentive listeners to God’s
loving and saving Word.
Kindly
all stand to join in the entrance hymn.
B. Introduction to the Readings
a) First Reading Mc 7:1-2.9-14
Facing
difficult circumstances, persecutions, even death, believers in God’s love and
justice neither fear evildoers nor lose their hope of new life that never ends
in heavenly kingdom.
b) Second Reading 1 Thes 2:16-3:5
Being
on the long and challenging trip toward our true home in heaven we need God’s
guidance and help in order for us to reach our final destination. For this blessing we should pray hard for one
another.
