A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear
Sisters and Brothers,
Good
morning!
We
celebrate this Sunday the solemn feast of the Most Holy Rosary in honor of the
Blessed Virgin Mother.
The
prayer of the Rosary has had an important place in the Church since the first
gathering in the upper room in Jerusalem where the disciples of the Risen Lord
united as one in faith and love prayed together with the Blessed Virgin Mother.
When
we pray the Rosary we, like the Blessed Virgin Mother, fondly remember the
happenings in the life of the Lord from His Birth to His Suffering, Death , and
Resurrection, and we think over and over on them, realizing better and better
how much God the Father loves us to the point that He gave us His Only Son as
the best solution to our salvation.
In
this Holy Mass we join the Blessed Virgin Mother in offering God the Father the
endless hymn of praise, glory and gratitude for His great Mercy and Love in His
Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Kindly
all stand for the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading: Acts
1:12-14
The
Church from the early times has been faithful in communion with Christ the
Risen Lord in fervent and loving prayer.
On their pilgrimage to meet the Lord in His second coming in glory the
Christian Community never fails to fix their gaze of faith and love on His
Face, always present in the events, great and small, in the world. Like the Blessed Virgin Mother, Christians
keep themselves awake in prayer, and ready to welcome Him when He returns.
- Second Reading: Gal
4:4-7
Saint
Paul believes that God the Father made the most wondrous decision by sending
His Only Son born of the Blessed Virgin Mother to save humankind from sin and
death. As the result of this great love
and mercy, we are granted the blessing of being children of God by adoption
through Our Lord Jesus Christ.
