A. Introduction
a) To the Holy Mass
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, good morning!
Welcome to Saint Dominic’s Parish Church for Holy Mass service.
We celebrate today the 15th Sunday in the Ordinary Time with the Gospel main focus on Our Lord Jesus Christ depicted as the Good Samaritan. Because of His compassion Christ came to save humankind from sin and death. Saint Paul teaches that we were reconciled to God by the blood of the cross of Christ.
Let us offer in this Holy Mass our profound gratitude to God for His merciful love in Christ.
Please all stand to sing the entrance hymn.
b) To the Readings
- First Reading Dt 30:10-14:
The great Prophet Moses tells the people to carry out the commandments of God with all their heart and soul. This means that we not only observe God’s law because of obligation but above all we fulfill our religious obligation with love in return for God’s love of us.
- Second Reading Col 1:15-20
Saint Paul never feels tired to speak of the power and glory of Our Lord Jesus Christ as the Mediator Who through His sacrifice on the cross reconciled sinners to God. For this great saving work Christ is worthy of God’s highest blessing to become the leader of the whole creation.
